Warranty & Calibration Policy
Breath alcohol devices are measuring instruments. They stay reliable only when calibrated on schedule and serviced by trained technicians. The cover for your exact model is confirmed in writing before order.
Warranty cover
- Standard warranty covers manufacturing defects for the period stated on your quotation and invoice for that model.
- Warranty is void where a device has been opened by an unauthorised party, immersed, dropped or exposed outside its stated operating conditions.
- Consumables — mouthpieces, printer paper, batteries and carry cases — are not covered by warranty.
- Sensors are consumable components with a finite service life and are covered only against defect, not normal ageing.
Calibration intervals
- Typical professional practice is calibration every 6 or 12 months, or after a defined number of tests — whichever comes first.
- The interval that applies to your device and testing volume is stated on your quotation and in the device documentation.
- High-volume programmes and devices used in disciplinary processes should be calibrated more frequently. Confirm for your programme.
- We issue a calibration record for each serviced device.
Service turnaround
Calibration and repair are carried out at our Nairobi workshop or through an agreed partner for international clients. Turnaround is confirmed when the device is booked in. Loan units may be available for programmes that cannot pause testing — ask when booking.
What we do not claim
We publish approval, certification or evidentiary claims only where documentary evidence has been verified for that model and market. Legal and regulatory requirements vary by country and must be confirmed for your jurisdiction.
